After wearing so much grays and muted colours lately, I am in the mood for something more vibrant and cheerful. Although the pictures make the colour looks sky blue, this LA Girl “Vinyl Records,” (NL89) is indeed a turquoise/aqua colour. Most blues are just notoriously evil to capture in pictures and print. I have scoured the interweb for a more accurate picture/swatch of Vinyl Records but all of them look sky blue, no matter the lighting, with and without flash. But believe me, this is a gorgeous shade of blue with a hint of green, not has deep as a teal but image a Caribbean ocean blue. In fact in looks very close to the colour of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Liner in Flipeside but with more green Turquoise colours are oh so gorgeous and perfect for the summer. This is one of my favourite colours to wear on fingers and toes during the summer. Pantone even named Turquoise the colour of the year for 2010. My dear friend pick this beauty for me for Christmas because she knew I would love this and I do! The one issue I have is that the formula is a bit thick, consequently two thin coats is enough for full even coverage but the polish did bubble a bit because of the thicker nature of the polish. I just did my nails last night, so I have no clue on the wear time and polish durability, but I just really want to share this beauty to everybody. LA Girl Flare Bright Delights Nail Lacquer is also called Disco Brights on their website. Why do I called this colour my Turquoise Dar-jee-ling? I affectionately nicknamed it after the movie “The Darjeeling Limited” of course! Where the colour is predominately featured in the movie.
