Jimmy Choo for H&M Clothing Preview Part 2

I like the look of these clothes but I am so petite that I might have a hard time carry these looks off. In addition, H&M sells out in my size really fast. Is anybody planning to pickup up any of the fashions from this line? I like the gray one shouldered dress and the fury vest!

Jimmy Choo for H&M Previews of Clothing and Shoes Part 1

Hi Ladies and Gents, I browsed around for more images of the Jimmy Choo for H&M Fall Collection. I believe this is the whole collection, but unfortunately I don’t have all the Canadian or US pricing as this is from a European site. I love both of the studded ballerina flats. I am definitely liking some of the bags, more so than the shoes. Anybody else craving for any goodies from this collection?

Jimmy Choo for H&M Campaign Previews

jimmychoo.hm

Way back in June it was announced that Jimmy Choo will be designing a line for H&M in November. The launch is set for November 14. The line consist of shoes, bags, belts, jewellery and clothing for both men and women. Judging from some of the advertisements, the line looks super hot and sexy. They also have a very rocker/punk chick vibe to it too. There are funky faux leather leggings, party dresses, zebra print clutches and studded jewels. And of course there will be the uber sexy signature Jimmy Choo Stilettos. These photographs definitely give me many lemmings. I will try to be front and centre for the launch on November 14 to try to take some goodies home. These goodies are at a fraction of the price of the original Jimmy Choo line, which starts at about $400. I have always wanted a little something from Jimmy Choo, but cannot afford them. Being a girl I can never have enough bling, shoes or bags. Is anybody else planning to take home a bit of Jimmy Choo?

Style Spy: Fine Finds Shopping Party with Benefit Cosmetics Goodie Bag

Yesterday I went to a RSVP shopping event at Fine Finds sponsored by Style Spy. Fine Finds is a boutique in Vancouver, located in the Yaletown neighbourhood. Style Spy is a blog/shopping guide that features shopping, beauty and social events in Vancouver and Toronto. Fine Finds is a cute little boutique that showcases many Vancouver designers as well as designers from all over Canada. Although the price points are higher than shopping at the mall franchises like H&M and Forever 21, I love supporting local businesses and Canadian designers whenever I can.

The Fine Finds event was on October 15 and is an one night shopping event where almost everything is at least 20% off. There were also additional discounts and goodies if you pick certain raffle tickets. It was a fun night of free Yellow Tail wine tasting and tasty delights such as French macaroons and mini cupcakes.

The shopping theme is Gossip Girl style fashions and makeovers. I would have loved to get a Gossip Girl makeup over and try a rocker chick Jenny Humphrey look, but it was so crowded in there and the line up for the cash desk was at least 20 minutes long, I didn’t have time for a mini makeover, so I had to pass. There was also, Haute Nails demonstrations and I tried that because it was a quick application. Haute Nails are Japanese rubber nail sticks used to bling up your nails. I  picked up a pack and I will do an entry on that soon.

At the event I picked up a cute little feather headband made of duck and chicken feathers with a brass maple leaf charm on it.

For the purchase I got a “swag” bag full of goodies from Benefit: a full sized That Gal Brightening Face Primer, sample sized Eye Con and sample sized B Spot eau de toilette. These Benefit items have been around for awhile now but I have yet to try any of these except for the Eye Con eye cream. I will be back with an entry on these items as soon as I can.

Included in this goodie bag are samples of Marc Jacobs’ Daisy eau de toilette and Daisy Luminous Body Lotion. I am please that the fragrance comes in a decent size of 4ml/0.130z and it is in a miniature replicate bottle of the full size fragrance. I will report back on my views of the fragrance and lotion as soon as I can.

The goodie bag also include sample vials of Lancome Tresor and Magnifque and Fast Food Leave on Conditioner. There were also vouchers from various Vancouver restaurants and beauty salons included.

I can’t wait to try the Benefit and Marc Jacobs goodies and report back. Stay tuned!

EOTD MAC Feline Kohl Power Pencil, Product Pictures, Swatches, Review and Shoe of the Day

feline1Above: MAC Kohl Power Pencil in Feline for upper and lower lash lines and waterline.

I actually picked this up the first day DSquared was released but I managed to drop this liner on the way home from MAC, but weirdly enough I did not drop anything else.  I am still kicking myself for it.  I called up my friend who was on her way to MAC and asked her to pick one up for me if she can. As you can see I have it in my possession now, I decided to go to MAC again to pick up the Shape and Scuplt and the 165 brush, but while I am there and they still have Feline in stock I might as well pick up a back up.

The photographs do not give this liner justice as the flash washes out the black a bit and there are some shimmer fallout from my other eye makeup.  This is the truest, darkest, coal black liner I have ever used. This liner doesn’t have glitter or shimmer, just plain solid black.  I did not pick this one up when it was released in several previous collections because I thought a black liner is a black liner, but I was wrong. This liner glides on very softly and smoothly and it is very pigmented. I usually have problems having black liners staying and showing on my waterline because they are not black enough or the liner is very hard to work with. I have no problems with this showing up on my waterline because it is so dark and I can apply the product easily.  It is very easy to blend and can be smudge out for a smokey eye look. Unlike the MAC Greasepaint sticks their kohl liners do not dry or set. The kohl liners are not waterproof or smudge proof. My experiences wearing MAC Kohl liners are that they smudge and fade throughout the day and they may not be the best option for hot summer days or if you have oily eyelids. If you also have a habit of rubbing your eyes: keep your hands away from eyes! As this is so black you will end up looking like a raccoon. If you are to wear this in the daytime or when it is very hot out, I would highly suggest using an eyeliner seal such as Medusa’s Makeup Eyeliner Seal or Benefit Shelaq after you apply and achieve your desired look to set and seal the liner to prevent more smudging. I would also put a light dusting of powder over my eyes. However, if you are going for a smokey smudgy eye for an evening outing, don’t be afraid to go all out with this baby and have fun with it.

I thought I would squeeze in a little tibit about myself and share one of my other loves in my blog: shoes! These are my favourite pair of flats and I am wearing it out until it falls apart and until weather permits.  They are perfectly comfortable and perfectly kelly green.  Sadly as the weather gets colder and wetter I will need to pack these away and replace these with UGG boots and rain boots.
