Above: MAC nail lacquer in Bad Fairy from Venomous Villains (Maleficent)
While I was playing around with the Venomous Villains goodies at the launch party, I can’t help but love all the nail lacquers. Although, I love all three colours, I only picked up Mean & Green and Formidable because I thought Bad Fairy was the least unique of the three. Through Michelle’s hard work at All Lacquered Up , she has discovered that Mean & Green is a dupe for Orly’s Space Cadet and Formidable is a dupe for Galaxy girl; however, I have no idea where to get Orly in my city, so both Mean & Green and Formidable are truly unique to me. At the moment, Bad Fairy had no known nailpolish doppelgängers. Initially, I just dismissed Bad Fairy as a golden pink shimmer polish. However, after days of lemming and my natural love of pink polishes, I caved and tracked down Bad Fairy. Anyway, I have two of the three, why not complete the set?
Bad Fairy is gorgeous in its own right. It is a pretty muted magenta with flashes of pink and gold iridescence. Like Formidable and Mean & Green, Bad Fairy is also a duo-chrome, mulit-faceted and a foil finish. In artificial light, the pink looks quite muted and the gold shimmer is not noticeable. In natural light, I can see the magenta pink with gold iridescence is strong and noticeable. Sometimes, the polish even looks red. I find this polish’s texture thin and easy to work with; however, it applies sheer and I needed three coats for an opaque finish.

ohh la la what a beauty! thanks for sharing, I’vve been waiting for swatches of bad fairy (:
