I love all the MAC Venomous Villains nail lacquers and I knew from the preview pictures and renderings that I would pick up all if not most of the nail lacquers. Now I have two of three: Mean and Green and Formidable. I regretted not buying Bad Fairy as well during the early launch party at the MAC Pro store, which is now sold out at the PRO store. Oh well, I would just have to call the MAC counter to put some more items on hold on the official launch date and make a trip there. OH the inconvenience it would cause me! (sarcasm inserted here). Anyway, I am now presenting another beauty from Maleficent’s mini villainous collection: Formidable nail lacquer.

Although the photograph shows the polish looking like a duo-chrome of pink and turquoise, it has quite a bit of brown tones in the base. Formidable reminds me of MAC’s Blue Brown pigment in certain lighting. I love how this colour duo-chrome effects change from pink to purple to brown with turquoise glitter. The texture is thin and smooth. I find it very easy to work with. The colour base is sheer and I needed three coats to create an opaque finish. I find Formidable more opaque than Mean and Green. This colour is oh so gorgeous because I love pinks and purples. The brownish base adds depth to the polish and the turquoise glitter adds a lot of gorgeous bling.
