American Apparel Nail Lacquer in Peacock is a pretty shade of teal. It is a deep blue that is slightly muted but it is vibrant enough that it looks obviously blue in all kinds of lighting. Unlike some teals, where you can see a hint of green, Peacock is quite blue. It is a creme finish that dries glossy. I really like American Apparel polishes and I am surprised by their great quality. Their colour selection and names reflect American Apparel’s clothing and style. There are several unique colours that are worth picking up. The formula is not thick or thin and it is just the right consistency to get a smooth and opaque finish. Peacock is very pigmented and I can get full and even coverage with one coat but I use two out of habit and it would make my manicure last longer. Because Peacock is very pigmented, the application is streak free. I will be picking a few more American Apparel nailpolishes in the future.
