This Christmas and holiday season call for glitter nailpolish at least once or twice or whenever you are in the mood to have flashy nails. Coronation is a blingtastic nailpolish from OPI Nail Lacquer Designer Series, which features holographic polishes.
Coronation has a platinum colour base with holographic glitter. The glitter is multi-faceted that shimmers in green, blue, pink, red, gold and silver. The holographic effect is visible but subtle, it is not the flashiest glitter polish I have worn. From afar, the polish looks silver, but close up you can see the holographic glitter. The glitter is fine in texture but very dense to build a shimmery effect all over the nail. It is semi-opaque and I can achieve a fairly opaque finish after three layers, but I can still see a bit of the whites of my nails in some lighting. The texture of the polish is thin but not runny and using three thin coats achieves a pigmented all over nail colour for me. Unlike pure glitter polishes, this holographic glitter polish dries smooth. I still suggest using a topcoat over this polish to bring out the shimmer of the glitter and for a longer lasting manicure.
If you love silver polishes, but don’t want anything too obviously flashy. Give Coronation a try. It is nice pure silver with just a bit of holographic bling to make it interesting and not just plain old silver.
