MAC Shadestick in Nurture is a beautiful light champagne pink with shimmer. Although it is shimmery, it is not frosty or glittery. Texturally, it glides on smoothly and easily but it doesn’t have the slight oiliness of a MAC Greasepaint stick. The shadestick sets quite quickly but it does smudges a little bit. I find that shadesticks smudge a bit more than greasepaint sticks, but since the colour is light, it is not a big deal. It also doesn’t flake off like greasepaint sticks. Though greasepaint sticks dries and sets better, they do flake off if I really rub or scratch it. Shadesticks just rubs and smudges off.
Nurture is decently pigmented but is semi-sheer. It is buildable to be more opaque but it would take a bit of effort because it looks a bit blotchy on my lid when I wore this as a cream eyeshadow by itself without a powder eyeshadow over it. For that reason (the slight blotchiness) I think Nurture will be better as a colour eyeshadow base for other champagne or pink colours. Nurture would also make a very pretty highlighter. I did wear this as a base and my eye makeup lasted almost 10 hours and the colours stayed true and vibrant before I grew tired and rubbed my eyes. Only then the colour smudged off a bit.
