I love vanilla scented fragrances and I have been looking to try LANVALIA products. I am glad that they came out with a mini set of four of their regular fragrances for Christmas. This way, I can sample a few of them for $30.00 CAD rather than dropping hundreds of dollars to have all of them. The only one missing is Vanilla Blossom. Vanilla Spice is also excluded but it is a limited edition scent. I love that these are small and travel friendly. These are all very long lasting. I would put it on first thing in the morning to work and 8 hours later I can still smell a nice soft and natural scent lingering on my skin.
LAVANILA fragrances are all natural and contain zero petrochemicals, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oils, silicone, synthetic dyes, sulfates or parabens. LANVANILA calls their fragrances “healthy” because of their ingredients. According to LAVANILA and Sephora, these scents are infused with pure essential oils with 100% active botanicals for natural fragrances that are fresh and clean and nurturing. Ingredients include antioxidants: goji berry and kakadu plum, willowherb for soothing and olive leaf for hydrating. In total there are 30 essential vitamins and minerals and 19 amino acids.
The set contains Vanilla Coconut, Pure Vanilla, Vanilla Grapefruit and Vanilla Lavender.
Vanilla Coconut is a gorgeous scent that reminds me of a tropical island. I crave young coconut juice or coconut tapioca dessert whenever I wear this. It is sweet without being too sugary or smells like actual food. This smells like heaven and I think it is a nice scent to go from day to night. Notes include: Young Coconut, Tahitian Tiare Flower and Madagascar Vanilla.
Pure Vanilla smells a bit more light and floral than my Body Shop Vanilla Perfume Oil, which is a nice change. It is also different from other vanilla based perfumes I have tried because it smells like natural vanilla beans rather than vanilla sugar cookies. It is not overwhelmingly sweet. I think this is a nice grown up and sophisticated vanilla and not teeny bopper at all. Notes include: Madagascar Vanilla, Freesia, Tonka Bean, Rich Heliotrope.
Vanilla Grapefruit is invigorating and refreshing. Vanilla scents mixed with citrus scents always make me happy. One of my favourite DIY blends are Body Shop Vanilla Perfume Oil mixed with Body Shop Satsuma Perfume Oil, which I love, but Vanilla Grapefruit is even better. It smells fresh, sparkling, light and airy. I think this is a nice everyday morning scent. Notes include: Grapefruit, Bergamot, Heliotrope Sandalwood, Lime, Orange and Madagascar Vanilla.
Vanilla Lavender is light and floral smelling and I feel relaxed when I wear this, which is the purpose of lavender. However, this is my least favourite scent because lavender is just not my cup of tea. There is something I dislike about lavender that I can’t quite put a finger to. The vanilla and floral do lighten up the lavender smell, which made it more bearable to me. It may just be me, but Vanilla Lavender smells a bit soapy to me. For ladies who love lavender, I think you will enjoy this because it is a feminine and soft scent. It is also a good scent to wear before bed or when you are relaxing. Notes include: Spanish Lavender, Rose Absolute, Violet Leaf and Madagascar Vanilla.
Overall, I really like this set because the price is just right for the amount of product I am getting. It works out to be $7.50 per 4.5 mL bottle. It takes me forever to finish a bottle of perfume anyway. These are oils and a little dab here and there at your pulse points or erogenous zones would go a long way. The scents linger on my skin for about 7-8 hours. I think for ladies who love vanilla scents, this set is a must have to add to their collection, especially Pure Vanilla. I do wish that they have included Vanilla Blossom in the set as well. All the scents are compatible with each other and you can layer them together to customize the scent. There is something for everybody in this set with the variety of blends. With four goodies you can keep the set for yourself, a friend or split them up for four friends as a gag gift.
