Above Chanel Rouge Allure Laque 76 Ming
Ming #76 is this gorgeous and perfect shade of nude baby pink and is semi-opaque. The colour is on the cool on my skin tone. On first application it is very pigmented but has a slight sheerness to it. It took 2 layers of product to achieve a solid colour on my lips. The texture applies very smoothly and creamily. The lacque looks like a cross between a lipstick and a lipgloss: it has the colour payoff of a cream finish lipstick but has the glossiness of a lipgloss. Chanel calls this a liquid lipstick and it is not messy or runny. It is also not sticky at all and feels very moisturizing. On my lips it stayed on for a good 3-4 hours before I started eating. Even after my meal I have colour on my lips and I looked like I have a lip stain on; however, the shine did faded away. I think this is a good everyday colour and it can compliment many looks, ranging from neutral to colourful eyes to smokey eyes. Since this is the only Chanel Rouge Allure Lacque I own, I can’t compare it with colour or lasting power of the other lacques in the line. From my experiences, I do like the colour payoff and the staying power.
The packaging is a solid black tube that looks like a lipstick. It is luxe and elegant, as I expected from Chanel products. The packaging is beautiful but because the product is applied like a lip gloss, it is difficult to tell how much product I have left in the solid black tube. It comes with a doe foot applicator as well, which I dislike because I think doe foot applications absorb a lot of product. It is a waste of money if product gets all absorbed into the sponge applicator. Despite these packaging drawbacks I do overall really like the product’s colour payoff, lasting power and how it feels on my lips. After all, what really counts is the product itself and its quality.
I have worn this lip lacque in my FOTD of MAC Greasepaint stick B. Click to check it out with a full face!
Since these are permanent, I am not in a hurry to collect a few more, but I do really want to pick up Santal and Phoenix in the future as well.
