Medusa’s Makeup Lipglosses have 12 shades and these range from lightly to highly pigmented. Most of these shades are semi-opaque but highly buildable in colour and shine, with the exception of the lighter colours: Concious, Sparkle Mania and Whispers. The more I layered the gloss, it becomes glossier, shinier, brighter and more opaque. The more pigmented colours wear relatively well and long, on my lips it lasted for about 4-5 hours of wear with light eating and drinking. It will loose some opacity and shine but there will still be colour on my lips. When I wear these I hardly have to retouch because the colour stays on my lips well and by the end of day it starts to look like a lip stain, when the gloss looses shine. I only retouch after I eat a big meal at an evening outing and when I will have my picture taken, but when I am just out hanging out casually or working I don’t bother to retouch. From my experience, after an eight hour work day with a lunch break, I still have colour on my lips minus the glossiness. These also feels very moisturizing on my lips and it is not sticky. Although Medusa’s website states that these taste certain flavours, it doesn’t; however, it does smell like the flavours it claims.

Above from left to right: Conscious, Sparkle Mania, Whispers, French Kiss
Conscious: Clear and scent and flavour free. This colour is crystal clear and without any glitter or shimmer. It has zero pigmentation. You can wear this as a over gloss over another colour lipstick or gloss or by itself for some shine on your lips.
Sparkle Mania: This is clear with silver glitter and smells like vanilla. Similar to Conscious above, it is worn as an over gloss or by itself. It has no pigmentation but has a subtle silver glitter finish to it to add dimension.
Whispers: This has a pearly white base with a pinky violet iridescence to it. This one smells like vanilla. Whispers is on the sheer side but you can see a wash of pinky purple to the colour. This is also a layer colour, but if you prefer just a sheer wash of colour it would look nice by itself too.
French Kiss: This is a medium frosty blue pink that is a on the cool side to me and smells like strawberries. French kiss is semi opaque with buildable colour. It has a frosty finish to it but not too frosty that it looks white and dated.

Above from left to right: Smooch, Lover Boy, Loud Mouth, Rumours
Smooch: Medusa’s described this as a salmon pink with a strawberry scent to it but to me this colour looks more like a dusty pink with mauve undertones and with gold glitter. This is one of the more pigmented colours with the colour and shine very builable in about two layers of gloss.
Lover Boy: This is an intense hot pink some shimmer to it. It doesn’t look like very bright on the screen, but this is a bright hot pink. It is also very pigmented with buildable colour and shine. Lover Boy smells like bubble gum.
Loud Mouth: This is described as a golden copper on Medusa’s website, but this looks like a golden tangerine orange to me, I don’t think it looks copper at all. It has a golden shimmer to it. Loud Mouth smells like a tangerine orange and is very pigmented and with buildable colour and shine. Of all the glosses, this has the best scent to me.
Rumours: This is violet that is on the warm side but it has a blue iridescence shimmer to it too. The purples in this collection are on the sheer side but I find that I can achieve a more opaque and shiny finish and the tube colour after 2 to 3 layers. This one smells like grapes.

Above from left to right: Gossip, Bite Me, Talk Talk, Temptation
Gossip: This is a pinky purple with a blue iridescence and has a cherry scent to it. It is semi-sheer as well like Rumours, but the colour and shine is buildable. This shade is a warm lilac colour with lots of pink and is very wearable in contrast to many of the cool gray toned purples that was released in the spring.
Bite Me: This is a true red with golden sparkles and smells like watermelon. It is a cool blue based red. It is very pigmented but it does have a slight sheer finish to it that looks like red cellophane on my lips.
Talk Talk: This is described as a maroon red with red shimmer and smells like watermelon. It looks similar to Bite Me but this one is warmer and has an orange undertone to it. It is very pigmented.
Temptation: Medusa’s described this as a deep eggplant but I think it looks more like a deep brownish vampy red with gold sparkle to it. This smells like grape and is very vampy and pigmented.
